On Saturday afternoon, a five year old boy shot and killed his four year old sister when she shot her point blank in the face in a home in the Upper Kensington neighborhood in north Philadelphia. 911 was immediately called but when paramedics got there, they pronounced the four year old dead at the scene.
The gun that was used in the shooting was discovered to be that of their mother's boyfriend who feld the scene after the shooting.
He was later apprehended late Saturday evening is being interrogated by the Police.
Sgt. Eric Gripp said police were trying to determine who was in the home when the shooting occurred, CBS Philadelphia station KYW reported.
A neighbor, Crystal Dougherty said the four year old little girl was well-liked in the neighborhood

"She was a great big sister to her little brother," Dougherty said. "She was very smart, at four years old, she knows her alphabet, her colors."
"They are outgoing, they are supportive of others. They're there for me when I was going through rough times, I mean it's just, it's, they're there for everybody," she said.Police said a weapon was recovered at the scene. No arrest has been made yet.
