Image result for inec imageHE Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Bauchi State, Professor Sa’ad Hamma Tukur, last Friday, described the results of the 2015 general election in the country as a silent revolution from the Nigerian people.
The opposition All Progressives Congress (APC), apart from winning the presidential election, had an almost clean sweep in the elections winning majority seats in both chambers of the National Assembly and 21 states with many state Houses of Assembly seats.
Speaking at the formal presentation of certificates of return to the Bauchi State  governor-elect, Barrister Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar; deputy governor-elect, Engineer Nuhu Gidado, and National Assembly members-elect from Bauchi State, Professor Tukur stated that no one had expected the outcome of the elections three months ago.
He added that in view of what happened at the polls all elected politicians ought to regard it as a warning to sit up and truly serve the electorate who gave them the mandate to serve them, saying that if they should fail in service delivery to their people, they would sooner than later revolted against them.
